Speaker: Beverly Kracher is the Exective Director of the Greater Omaha Alliance for Business Ethics.  and an Associalte Professor of Business Ethics and Society in the College of Business Administration at Creighton University.

This presetation will explore what it means to create an ethical culture through moral leadership. Stories will be used to identify the moral issues in our organizations. Tools will be provided to prevent the creation or halt advance of moral snowballs and their effects.

The Greater Omaha Alliance for Business Ethics is comprised of local small, medium, and large organizations that lead in developing an ethical climate throughout the local business community.

Beverly holds a Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Her current research focuses on moral reasoning in business, international business ethics, and e-commerce ethics. Her research has been published in various academic journals including Business Ethics Quarterly, Journal of Business Ethics, and Business & Society Review. She writes a business ethics column for the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce B2B magazine.

Beverly teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in business ethics, ethical leadership, and business & society. She has been awarded the College of Business' Excellence in Graduate Teaching Award.

Beverly was a Research Fellow at the Center for International Business Ethics in Beijing, China in 2007.

She has been a business ethics consultant or speaker for numerous national businesses and professional associations including the Omaha Police Department, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Peter Kiewit Sons, Valmont Inc., the United States Veteran’s Administration, and more. She has been a judge for the Better Business Bureau’s Integrity Awards since 1996 and was awarded a TOYO (Ten Outstanding Young Omahans) for her service contributions to the Omaha community.

Beverly has been the vice-president of a local interior plantscaping business for 10 years.
