Join us as Colleen Maciejewski shares a case study on Woodmen of the World’s 2011 strategic retreat. Using an Appreciative Inquiry Summit format, the retreat was designed to create action plans to lead Woodmen toward a future as a thriving, healthy organization committed to making a positive contribution in our communities.
In this session, you’ll learn how the retreat was formatted, the basics of positive dynamics, and the potential and realized outcomes of a retreat built on the concept of positive psychology.

Colleen Maciejewski has served Woodmen of the World/Omaha Woodmen Life Insurance Society as Vice President, Strategic Projects since March, 2011 and as President and founder of Red Basket, Inc (RedBasket.org) since March, 2012.
Red Basket is a 501(c)3 non-profit solely funded by Woodmen of the World, with the dual premise of helping individuals achieve financial independence, and improving communities through volunteerism. Learn more about Red Basket at redbasket.org
Prior to starting work on Red Basket, Maciejewski served in the role of Vice President, Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) from March, 2008 to March 2011.
Maciejewski is a member of the Project Management Institute, Life Office Management Association (LOMA) and served as an expert consultant on enterprise project management for Forrester Research’s Application Development and Delivery Leadership Council. She is the newest board member of ICAN’s Board of Directors, and is an executive member of the Board of Directors of Elkhorn Soccer Club, the second largest soccer club in
Nebraska. Maciejewski also volunteers for several other local organizations.
In her free time, Maciejewski enjoys jogging, reading, skiing, golfing, biking and watching her children perform in band and sporting events. She and her husband, Chuck, have two children, Cameron and Lauren.
