Toward a More Effective Change Process

Change is very difficult for most people and this is true of organizational change. Organizations often struggle in their efforts to manage change effectively.

In our April meeting we will learn more about the keys for successfully implementing change management.  In this session we will also share our collective experiences for addressing major hurdles to the change management process. In turn, we will talk about some real life experiences for helping others in coping with change. Please join our discussion of a topic that is relevant to all OD practitioners.

Our Facilitator:  Tom McClung, Vice President of Business Development, Integrity Staffing & Solutions

Tom McClung has extensive work experience in the Omaha Metropolitan Area, including the following:

• Key management roles in for-profit (Nebraska Furniture Mart), nonprofit (Boys Town), and higher education (University of Nebraska at Omaha-Peter Kiewit Institute)
• Manager of the technology division (technical and user support) for Omaha Public Schools
• Management experience in information technology, client services, financial planning/budgeting, strategic planning, administrative services, and Quality
• Experience in working with governing boards, advisory committees, and served on the AIM Institute Board.

Tom and his wife Sharon have two married children, and they attempt to keep up with three grandchildren. They have lived in the Omaha community for most of their married lives and enjoy traveling nationally and internationally. Tom has a B.A. degree in Communications (College of Wooster) and holds graduate degrees from The Ohio State University and Michigan State University in education with a minor in business management.
