 Evaluating OD Impact

Facilitated by Sara Roberts, Category One Consulting

Organizations are becoming more data-driven every day. With this transition to a data-driven culture, organizational leaders want evidence that their processes are effective, efficient, and impactful. This is not only relevant in departments such as Sales and Finance where measurement and return on investment are common practices, but also in Human Resources where impact and return can be much more difficult to measure. In this presentation, we will describe how evaluation can be used to demonstrate the impact of OD initiatives and investments. We will discuss the importance of evaluation and provide a step by step process that members can use as a guide when conducting evaluations in their own organizations.

Members will learn the why, what, when, and how of OD evaluation. Specifically, they will learn WHY evaluating OD initiatives is important, WHAT evaluation is and is not, WHEN evaluation should be conducted, and last but certainly not least HOW to conduct an evaluation in an effective and efficient manner. Members will leave the presentation with an understanding of evaluation as well as a step by step guide they can use to implement OD evaluations in their own organizations.
